My Story
Born in The Land of Eternal Spring; my roots tie back to one of the most sophisticated and ancient civilizations to ever exist. Guatemala is home to the ancestors of the ancient Maya; a legendary history that is shrouded in wonder and awe from the grand temples found in the jungles of the Yucatan Peninsula, to the astrological breakthroughs in understanding the cosmos and our greater purpose. I take great pride in knowing where I come from, and how my creative journey in the graphic arts resembles the beautiful work of my ancestors. The depth of my designs, illustrations, and lettering styles are an expression of my spirit and ground me with the knowledge of my greater purpose in telling the stories of others with my gifts.
My Start
Graduating from Franklin Pierce University with a bachelors degree in Graphic Communications was the kickoff point for me and my professional career. I have since cut my teeth both in the private and public sectors working in both product and service driven environments. My work ethic, strong analytical skills, business mindset, quality of work, and efficient output stem from working in the highly disciplined field of pre-press design for manufacturing. My soft skills with communication and customer experience harken back to working in higher-education with non-profit partners and state departments. Other valuable experience that helped elevate critical thinking, decisiveness, and multi-tasking abilities resulted from serving in the animal welfare and veterinary clinic environments. One other key to my success comes from my early freelance work that comprises of illustration design and branding that gave me the inspiration I needed to chart my path and make my mark on the industry.
